To everything in life there is a season, a time for every purpose to be fulfilled. Life has set a race before us, which we must run with diligence and perseverance. The race set before us are different, likewise our durations are different. Life offers us different opportunities at different time in life. Some are born into wealth, some are born into abject poverty; but their backgrounds will never determine what they will become in life. I have seen some people graduated at a very tender age, struggle for many years to get a job. I have seen many people struggle to graduate at 35 and get a good job almost immediately. I have seen many godly innocent ladies in marital crisis. I have seen some people becoming Executive Director at 30 and die at 40, while some attain the same post at age 55, and live up to 100. What a life, full of mysteries!

There is no common finish line for everyone in the race of life. But the joy of it is that God makes everything beautiful in its time. God designs life in such a way that not everyone will reach finish line at the same time. One’s season of weakness, will be another person’s season of strength. A person’s struggling moment may be someone else’s breakthrough season. Your drought season may be someone else’s surplus season.

Since the race is not to the swift, nor battle to the strong, nor bread to the wise, nor riches to men of understanding, nor favour to men of skill, everyone needs to approach life with ease. Never compare yourself with someone else. Put your hope in God that makes everything beautiful in its time. For as long as you are in good relationship with God, keep running your race in God’s pace, you will get to your own finish line at the right season.
