To some, God is a mere Supreme Being, living in one of the planets. To some, God is the Creator of heaven and the earth and all the living creatures including mankind. To some, God exists somewhere and somehow. To some, God is the creator and sustainer of the universe (theism). To some, God is the creator, but not the sustainer of the universe (deism). To some, God is the universe itself (pantheism).

But God surpasses all the descriptions you can think of! The commonly attributes of God include omniscience, (ever knowing); omnipotence (unlimited in power); omnipresence (ever present everywhere); eternal and immortal. But His attributes are limitless!

However, who you think God is to you is what He will reveal to you. Those who call Him a mere God, He will always appear to them as a mere God. Those who known Him as all sufficient God, He will always appear to them as a sufficient God.

God is a faithful God, even when we are not faithful to Him. God is a merciful God, He keeps His covenant and mercy for a thousand generations with those who love Him and keep His commandments Deuteronomy 7:9. God is a loving God; He makes the rain to fall on both the good and bad people.

Psalm 46:1 describes God as our refuge and strength, a very present help in trouble. That is He is always around us to deliver us from any trouble we may encounter in life, if we ready to acknowledge and call upon Him. Psalm 91:2 calls Him our refuge and fortress. God is also a consuming fire. Hebrew 12:28 says “For our God is a consuming fire.”

It is what you call God that God will give back unto you. When the Israelites spoke against God and Moses in the wilderness, He sent fiery serpents to consume them Deuteronomy 21:5-6. David won all the battles he faced in life because he knew what God was to him. Joseph had strong confidence in God despite all the challenges he faced in life. His faith in God brought him out of prison to palace.

No matter the battles confronting you in life, determine to say great things about your God. Never see your problems as insurmountable, but see your God as all sufficient God. He will answer you in the manner you call on Him!
