What brings fortune or poverty to man is the choice he makes or decision he takes in his lifetime. Our choices and decisions are the end result of our faith in what we believe in.

Faith is a devotion to, or trust in somebody or something, especially without logical proof. Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen (Hebrew 11:1). Faith plays key role in fulfilling or accomplishing one’s goals in life. It takes faith to believe  in one’s dreams at the point of conception. It takes faith to bring forth something out of nothing. It takes faith to believe in yourself or others. Absence of faith troubles the mind; it makes the mind to be easily tossed to and fro by all the doctrines of life. Lack of faith makes someone to agitate for nothing; it envelops our mind with fear of unknown. The Scripture says “But without faith, it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” (Hebrew 11:6). In the foolishness of faith lies the wonder of life. Faith works out the fulfilment of someone’s goals in his lifetime.

I read about founders of the Apple Inc., how faith played out and how lack of faith made one of the founders sold his shares at the early stage of the project. Apple was a lowly Silicon Valley startup, much like so many are today. The company was cofounded by three men. Two of them we know quite well; Steve Wozniak and late Steve Jobs. But just few people know little or nothing about the third man, Ronald Gerald Wayne (a.k.a Ron Wayne). On April 2nd, 1976, these three men incorporated Apple together. Just after 12days the company was incorporated, Ronald Gerald left what would have become the world’s most valuable company. Ronald Gerald sold his 10percent shares in Apple worth $800 back to Jobs and Wozniak. As of March 2017, if Wayne had kept his 10percent stake in Apple Inc., it would have worth over $75.5billion. Ronald Wayne said “I did not separate myself from Apple because of any lack of enthusiasm for the concept of computer product. Aside from any immediate apprehension in regard to financial risks, I left because I did not feel that this new enterprise would be the working environment that I saw myself, essentially for the rest of my days. I would be successful but I did not know when, what I have to give up or sacrifice to get there, or how long it would take to achieve that success.”

What brings fortune or poverty to man is the choice he makes or decision he takes in his lifetime. Our choices and decisions are the end result of our faith in what we believe in. Oftentimes, we lose out on opportunities. Sometimes, life beats us so hard that the only reasonable thing that comes into our mind is “I QUIT”. Are you thinking of abandoning that vision because of the present challenges? Are you thinking of giving up because of the recent setbacks in life? Look beyond the present predicaments; revive your faith in your dreams. FAITH will help you to pursue your dreams to reality. Quitters never win, winners never quit.
