From the first cry of a newborn child, life begins — a fragile breath that ushers a soul into the theatre of existence. We grow, we learn, we chase success, and we struggle to make meaning of it all. But somewhere along the line, when all the hustle fades and silence takes over, one truth stands tall — life without moral consciousness is a life of emptiness.
THE PURSUIT THAT NEVER ENDS
From childhood, we are taught to strive for greatness — to study hard, work harder, and never settle for less. We pursue education, fame, wealth, influence, and power. The world celebrates those who “make it,” and everyone wants to be numbered among the successful.
Yet in that endless chase, we often forget something profound: success without integrity is vanity.
Many go the extra mile — some lawfully through diligence, others unlawfully through deceit, fraud, manipulation, and corruption. In the process, moral values are buried under the weight of ambition. The desire to “make it at all costs” blinds many to the truth that a man may gain the whole world and still lose his soul. (Mark 8:36)
WHEN THE DREAMS ARE FULFILLED
When all is said and done — when the certificates hang proudly on the wall, when the houses have been built, when the accounts overflow with riches, and the applause of men fills the air — many still feel an aching emptiness inside. The satisfaction that was expected never truly arrives.

People stop asking how much you made; they start talking about how you lived. Your wealth cannot defend you, your beauty cannot preserve you, and your power cannot buy you another minute. What remains is your legacy — the footprints you leave behind, whether good or bad. Did you live honorably? Did you help others rise? Did you cheat, lie, and steal your way to the top? Did you sow seeds of kindness, truth, and faith? Every man writes his own story. Death only reads it aloud.
THE DANGER OF DUBIOUS WEALTH
In our world today, many are driven by greed and impatience. The obsession with wealth and status has led countless souls into the dark alleys of fraud, ritual killings, corruption, and deceit. People no longer ask “Is it right?” — they ask “Does it pay?”
But what profit is there in wealth acquired through dubious means? What joy is in success stained with the tears and blood of others?
Dubious wealth may glitter today, but it decays tomorrow. It carries a curse that wealth of integrity never bears. Such riches destroy peace of mind, invite disgrace, and leave a bitter legacy that outlives the one who acquired them.
The Holy Scripture warns, “Better is a little with righteousness than great revenues without right.” — Proverbs 16:8 “Wealth gotten by vanity shall be diminished: but he that gathereth by labour shall increase.” — Proverbs 13:11
LIFE’S GREATEST WISDOM
No matter the paths we tread — whether as professionals, leaders, traders, artisans, or entrepreneurs — one truth binds us all: life is fleeting. The breath that came so freely at birth will one day be withdrawn. Then, everything we labored for will belong to others. The only thing that truly remains is our name and our deeds. We will all be remembered — not for the cars we drove, nor the houses we owned, but for the lives we touched, the truth we stood for, and the light we carried.
MORAL LESSON
Every human being should live with eternity in mind. Dream, work, achieve — but tread with caution. Never let greed or the hunger for fame make you lose your soul.
