Choice involves decision making. It includes judging the merits of multiple options and selecting one or more of them which are deemed to be the best options. Choice is the wheel that drives us to a particular destination in life. Choice forms a basis of what we become in life, be it good or bad. What we actually become in life is the function of our choices; what we hear, what we accept into our inner mind, what we say, and what we do.

The life you live is all about you and your choices. That is why you must be conscious of all your choices in life because your choices will determine your place in destiny and life after death.



This world is not for the weak but for the strong; likewise it is not for the coward but for the bold. A coward has no place in destiny. No coward will ever succeed or achieve something significant in his or her lifetime.

God wants us to make better choices, He wants His will to prevail in every our choices. Nevertheless, He still gives us freewill to make our choices. He is standing by, waiting for us to make right choices and to help us through our choices in our lifetime. That is why you must commit your choices to His hand for divine direction in order to end well.

Lot acted on native intelligence to make his choice, when he was given an opportunity to choose a land for his herdsmen. This event happened when there was strife between the herdsmen of Lot’s cattle and herdsmen of Abraham’s cattle Genesis 13:7. Lot chose a plain of Jordan because it was good for grazing. This place was well watered. His choice took away all he had from him. He left the land of Sodom and Gomorrah empty. His only two daughters also lost their moral values in the land of Sodom and Gomorrah. He entered the land full, but left the land empty. God blessed Abraham abundantly in the land of Canaan where he chose to dwell. Elimelech’s choice to dwell in the country of Moab, when there was famine in his own country land caused his greatest misfortune. He lost everything in the country of Moab. Only his wife Naomi and his son’s wife Ruth returned to Bethlehem.

Your choices today do not start and end with you. They have viral effects after you depart the world. The effects of your choices (good or evil) will linger on forever. No choice is too insignificant in determine your place in destiny. Your faithfulness, your integrity, your obedience and other good virtues add up for your place in destiny. Let your choice align with God’s principles. Do not strive, do not envy, do not covet, follow the right path in life. Ensure that you make choices that value eternity at the expense of immediate pleasures. Do not allow the few moment pleasures to destroy your entire destiny. Always remember that, the end of a choice is the beginning of another choice. All these add up to make us what we become in our lifetime. Be conscious to make the right choices in life so that you will end well and not in regret and agony.
