Potential generally refers to a currently unrealized ability. The term is used in a wide variety of fields, from physics to the social sciences to indicate things that are in a state where they are able to change in ways ranging from the simple release of energy by objects to the realization of abilities in people (Wikipedia). No one can be at his or her best without adequate use of his or her potentials. This goes beyond academic qualifications, though it may be a good basis to make optimum use of our potentials.

Professor Abletor Sedofia from University of Ghana said, “Being top of your class does not necessarily guarantee that you will be at the top in life” You could graduate as the best student in finance but it does not mean you will make more money than everybody else.
The best graduating law student does not necessarily become the best lawyer. Remember education is just one of the ways to success. If education is the only alternative to prosperity, Professors would have been the richest.”

The fact is, life requires more than the ability to understand a concept, memorise it and reproduce it in an examination. School rewards people for their memories, but life rewards people for the optimum use of their potentials. Schools rewards caution; life rewards ability to take initiative to make ends meet. School hails those who live by the rules; life exalts those who break the rules and set new ones.

Only those who use their potentials to meet the needs of mankind are those who standout in life. Life rewards only those who have exceptional thinking out of normal norms of life. Your best is in your potentials, let the world see your best through your potentials.
