The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Osun State Command has taken custody of a 15-year-old female child, Quadija Abimbola, who was found wandering at Owode-Ede, Osun State.

Quadija was discovered roaming the streets at 1:00 a.m. on January 19, 2025, and brought to the NSCDC Owode-Ede Division by a concerned good Samaritan.

According to Quadija, she traveled from Lagos to Osun State with her mother, Mrs. Aishat Abimbola, and three siblings to celebrate the New Year. During the festivities, her mother reportedly took her to Owode-Ede market to sell detergent, promising to return for her after the day’s sales. Unfortunately, her mother failed to return.

All efforts to locate Quadija’s parents or relatives have so far been unsuccessful. The NSCDC Osun State Command is appealing to members of the public with any information about Quadija’s family to come forward to assist in reuniting her with her loved ones.

For further inquiries or assistance, kindly contact the NSCDC Osun State Command.
