The number one adversary of every man on the surface of the earth is Satan. Whether people acknowledge it or not, there is an active spiritual opposition against the destiny of every human being.
The Bible makes this very clear:1 Peter 5:8, “Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour.” Notice the instruction: be sober and vigilant. This is because the enemy is not passive—he is actively seeking, scanning, and strategizing. Satan is not omnipresent, but he operates through systems, agents, and demonic networks. His operations are calculated, targeted, and persistent. His ultimate goal is not just temporary affliction but eternal condemnation. Revelation 12:12, “Therefore rejoice, O heavens, and you who dwell in them! Woe to the inhabitants of the earth and the sea! For the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, because he knows that he has a short time.” Because he knows his time is limited, he intensifies his operations. He wants to drag as many souls as possible into destruction.
But I declare over your life today: You will not be a victim of satanic agenda, in the name of Jesus Christ!
SATAN’S STRATEGY: ATTACKING FINANCES
One of the most strategic areas Satan targets is finances.
Why finances?
Because finances influence almost every aspect of human life—survival, stability, dignity, and even spiritual decisions.
The Scripture says: Ecclesiastes 7:12, “For wisdom is a defense as money is a defense, but the excellence of knowledge is that wisdom gives life to those who have it.” Money is described as a defense. This means it provides protection, options, and leverage in life. When Satan attacks finances, he is not just taking money—he is trying to:
- Create pressure
- Induce fear
- Force compromise
- Weaken faith
- Isolate the individual
- Destroy dignity
Many people who were once fervent in faith have compromised because of financial pressure.
TWO DIMENSIONS OF SATANIC FINANCIAL ATTACK
- Using Money as a Trap. Satan can give money to enslave people. 1 Timothy 6:9–10, “But those who desire to be rich fall into temptation and a snare, and into many foolish and harmful lusts which drown men in destruction and perdition. For the love of money is a root of all kinds of evil, for which.
- He attacks finances to make life miserable, thereby pushing people to compromise their faith in God. Satan understands that financial pressure can weaken spiritual strength. When a person is constantly struggling—unable to meet basic needs, facing debts, repeated losses, or lack—such a person can become vulnerable to fear, anxiety, frustration, and discouragement. In that weakened state, the enemy begins to suggest alternatives that are outside God’s will.
He may push people to:
- Engage in dishonest practices
- Cut corners in business
- Depend on ungodly sources
- Abandon their faith principles
- Question God’s goodness
The goal is simple: to make survival seem more important than obedience to God.
The Bible warns us: Matthew 6:31–33, “Therefore do not worry, saying, ‘What shall we eat?’ or ‘What shall we drink?’ or ‘What shall we wear?’ For after all these things the Gentiles seek. For your heavenly Father knows that you need all these things. But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things
Either way, his objective remains the same—to lead people into eternal destruction.
But I decree over your life today: You will escape every plan of Satan designed to drag you into destruction, in the name of Jesus Christ.
THE LIFE OF JOB
A clear example of satanic attack against finances is seen in the life of Job. Job 1:1, “There was a man in the land of Uz, whose name was Job; and that man was blameless and upright, and one who feared God and shunned evil.” Job was upright, blameless, and God-fearing. Yet, he was still a target of satanic attack. This shows that righteousness does not exempt a person from spiritual battles—but it guarantees victory. Job was spiritually sensitive and vigilant over his household:, Job 1:4–5, “And his sons would go and feast in their houses, each on his appointed day, and would send and invite their three sisters to eat and drink with them. So it was, when the days of feasting had run their course, that Job would send and sanctify them, and he would rise early in the morning and offer burnt offerings according to the number of them all. For Job said, ‘It may be that my sons have sinned and cursed God in their hearts.’ Thus Job did regularly.”
He understood the importance of spiritual covering. He continually raised altars of sacrifice for his family.
SPIRITUAL REALITY: LEGAL GROUNDS
Satan appeared before God concerning Job:
Job 1:8–12, “Then the Lord said to Satan, ‘Have you considered My servant Job, that there is none like him on the earth, a blameless and upright man, one who fears God and shuns evil?’ So Satan answered the Lord and said, ‘Does Job fear God for nothing? Have You not made a hedge around him, around his household, and around all that he has on every side? You have blessed the work of his hands, and his possessions have increased in the land. But now, stretch out Your hand and touch all that he has, and he will surely curse You to Your face!’ And the Lord said to Satan, ‘Behold, all that he has is in your power; only do not lay a hand on his person.’ So Satan went out from the presence of the Lord.”
Important Revelation:
Many events are taking place in the realm of the spirit—whether for good or evil—that we are not privileged to see. What we eventually see are the physical manifestations of those spiritual transactions.
I decree as I am commanded: Every evil deliberation in the spirit realm concerning you and your household is scattered by fire, in the name of Jesus Christ! They shall not stand, nor shall they come to pass!
SATAN’S STRATEGY AGAINST JOB
Once Satan obtained permission, his first point of attack was Job’s finances and possessions.
Job 1:13–19
- His oxen and donkeys were stolen
- His servants were killed
- Fire consumed his sheep
- His camels were taken
- His children were killed in a disaster
Satan attacked Job’s economic system before touching his body.
Later, Job revealed something profound:
Job 3:25–26, “For the thing I greatly feared has come upon me, and what I dreaded has happened to me. I am not at ease, nor am I quiet; I have no rest, for trouble comes.”
Fear can create openings for satanic operations. Yet, despite all these, Job did not curse God. What a man to emulate! No matter the trials of life, remain steadfast in God. Never fall into the craftiness of Satan that pushes you to doubt God.
I declare: God will deliver you from every satanic attack against your finances today, in Jesus’ name.
SIGNS OF SATANIC ATTACK ON FINANCES
When you observe the following patterns, you must rise in prayer:
- Recurring financial losses
- Natural or man-made disasters affecting your resources
- Repeated patterns of setback
- Labour without commensurate results
- Failure at the edge of breakthrough
HOW TO OVERCOME SATANIC ATTACKS ON FINANCES
- Exercise Your Authority Through Prayer and Fasting. As a redeemed child of God, you have legal authority over Satan. James 4:7, “Therefore submit to God. Resist the devil and he will flee from you.” Matthew 17:21 “However, this kind does not go out except by prayer and fasting.” When you pray and fast, you enforce your victory. I decree: Every satanic attack against your finances ends now! The affliction shall not rise again, in the name of Jesus Christ!
- Faithfulness in Tithing. Malachi 3:10–11, “Bring all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and try Me now in this,” says the Lord of hosts, “If I will not open for you the windows of heaven and pour out for you such blessing that there will not be room enough to receive it. And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, so that he will not destroy the fruit of your ground, nor shall the vine fail to bear fruit for you in the field,” says the Lord of hosts.” Tithing secures divine protection over your finances.
- Invest in God’s Kingdom. Luke 6:38, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you.” Kingdom investment activates supernatural returns.
- Obedience to God’s Instructions. Obedience triggers divine results. Genesis 26:1–3 “There was a famine in the land, besides the first famine that was in the days of Abraham. And Isaac went to Abimelech king of the Philistines, in Gerar. Then the Lord appeared to him and said: ‘Do not go down to Egypt; live in the land of which I shall tell you. Dwell in this land, and I will be with you and bless you…'” Genesis 26:12–14, “Then Isaac sowed in that land, and reaped in the same year a hundredfold; and the Lord blessed him. The man began to prosper, and continued prospering until he became very prosperous; for he had possessions of flocks and possessions of herds and a great number of servants. So the Philistines envied him.” Even in famine, obedience produced abundance.
Satan is real, but his power is limited. Your victory is secured in Christ. Remain steadfast. Stay obedient. Keep your spiritual altar alive. And above all, never lose your faith in God. Your finances are secured. Your destiny is preserved. Your victory is certain in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
