The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) in Osun State recently apprehended a notorious motorcycle thief, Wahab Saburi, aged 27, from Obada Compound, Ede. Saburi, who has been involved in motorcycle theft for about three years, was captured on 11th May 2024 in Oke-Ola Area, Ede.

During interrogation, Saburi confessed to stealing a motorcycle parked in front of an apartment in Oke-Ola, Ede, using a specific key for theft. Further investigation uncovered that he had four stolen motorcycles in his possession, which he had taken from Agip area, Ayo–Omoba, Obada, Ede. He disclosed that he sold these motorcycles for Forty-Thousand Naira (N40,000) each to his buyers.

Saburi also revealed that he had an accomplice in a popular market in Ede who would prepare sales agreement papers for him to give to buyers of the stolen motorcycles. NSCDC Commandant Michael Adaralewa assured the public that all those involved in the criminal activities would be prosecuted accordingly. The NSCDC remains committed to combating crime in the state and ensuring the safety of its residents.
