NSCDC BAUCHI COMMAND PARTNERS BASIDMA TO PROTECT CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE

The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Bauchi State Command, has strengthened its collaboration with the Bauchi State Infrastructure Development and Maintenance Agency (BASIDMA) to enhance the protection and development of critical state infrastructure.

This was disclosed during a courtesy visit by the Director General of BASIDMA, Engr. Abdulrahman Abdullahi Mai-Auduga, and his management team to the State Commandant of NSCDC, Commandant Oloyede Nelson Oyerinde, on Tuesday, November 26, 2024, at the command headquarters.

Engr. Mai-Auduga highlighted the agency’s mandate, which focuses on maintaining and developing infrastructure to improve quality, safety, and accessibility for the well-being of Bauchi citizens under the leadership of Governor Bala Abdulkadir Mohammed. Acknowledging NSCDC’s pivotal role in safeguarding public assets, he emphasized the need for synergy between the two organizations to combat vandalism and secure critical infrastructure across the state.

Commandant Oyerinde welcomed the collaboration, describing it as both timely and essential. He reaffirmed NSCDC’s readiness to support BASIDMA’s mission, noting that the protection of critical assets and infrastructure aligns with NSCDC’s core mandate.

To mark the occasion, the NSCDC Bauchi Command presented an award of recognition to the BASIDMA Director General. The visit concluded with a group photograph and an exchange of pleasantries.

This partnership underscores the commitment of both agencies to fostering development and security, ensuring the protection of infrastructure vital to the state’s progress.
