The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC), Osun State Command, on Wednesday, November 5, 2025, held a colourful pre-retirement ceremony in honour of the Zonal Commander in charge of Zone 6, Assistant Commandant General (ACG) Engr. Quadri Saladin Adigun, as he prepares to bow out of active service on November 8, 2025.
The event, which took place at the State Command Headquarters in Osogbo, was organized to celebrate the illustrious career and meritorious service of ACG Adigun, whose dedication and contributions to the Corps and the nation have left an indelible mark.
In his farewell remarks, the retiring ACG expressed deep gratitude to the Osun State Commandant, CC Igbalawole Sotiyo, and all officers and men of the Command for the honour accorded him.
He described his years in service as “a journey of dedication, sacrifice, and fulfillment in the service of the Federal Republic of Nigeria,” adding that his greatest joy was being part of an institution committed to protecting lives, property, and the nation’s critical assets.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to serve my country through the Corps. Every stage of my journey has been defined by duty, sacrifice, and the desire to make a difference. As I retire, I urge all officers and men to remain steadfast in upholding the core values of integrity, discipline, and commitment to service,”

He further pledged his continued support to the growth and development of the Corps, even in retirement.
In his goodwill message, Commandant Igbalawole Sotiyo commended ACG Adigun’s exemplary leadership and selfless service, describing him as “a man of integrity and honour.”

The ceremony was graced by notable dignitaries, including ACG (Rtd) Ojeniyi Emmanuel, ACG (Rtd) Olasupo Solomon, Commandant (Rtd) Babalola Olaniyi, as well as serving officers, family members, friends, and colleagues from Zone 6 and the Osun State Command.
As part of the day’s activities, officers and men of the Command accompanied the celebrant in a convoy to the Zonal Headquarters in Ayepe, where prayers of thanksgiving and goodwill were offered in appreciation of his years of meritorious service.
The atmosphere was filled with warmth and emotion as colleagues, friends, and well-wishers celebrated a man whose life and career have been marked by excellence, patriotism, and humility.
With his official retirement approaching, the NSCDC family expressed heartfelt gratitude for ACG Adigun’s years of outstanding leadership and wished him a peaceful and fulfilling retirement.
