Our God is powerful. He uses His power to show His supremacy over all things He has created. He uses His supernatural power to do great and might things which we can or cannot see. One of the things He does with His power is to heal us. He shows compassion to us. He shows us the ability to restore health—physically, emotionally, and spiritually.
God is Our Healer:
- Exodus 15:26 – “…for I am the LORD who heals you.” (Jehovah Rapha—the Lord our Healer—promises healing to His people.)
Healing Through Faith in God:
- Psalm 103:2-3 – “Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all His benefits—who forgives all your iniquities, who heals all your diseases.”
(God’s healing is both physical and spiritual.) - Jeremiah 17:14 – “Heal me, O LORD, and I shall be healed; save me, and I shall be saved, for You are my praise.” (A declaration of faith in God’s healing power.)
Jesus, the Great Healer:
- Isaiah 53:5 – “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed..” (Jesus’ sacrifice provides healing for both body and soul.)
- Matthew 4:23 – “And Jesus went about all Galilee, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing all kinds of sickness and all kinds of disease among the people.” (Jesus demonstrated God’s healing power through His ministry.)
- Matthew 9:35 – “Then Jesus went about all the cities and villages, teaching in their synagogues, preaching the gospel of the kingdom, and healing every sickness and every disease among the people.”
- Acts 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Ghost and with power: who went about doing good, and healing all that were oppressed of the devil; for God was with him.”
Healing Through Prayer and Faith:
- James 5:14-15 – “Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer of faith will save the sick, and the Lord will raise him up.” (Prayer and faith activate divine healing.)
- Mark 11:24 – “Whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” (Faith is essential for receiving God’s healing.)
Healing Brings Restoration and Wholeness:
- 3 John 1:2 – “Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in health, just as your soul prospers.” (God’s desire is for His people to have holistic well-being.)
- Psalm 147:3 – “He heals the brokenhearted and binds up their wounds.”
(God not only heals physical ailments but also emotional wounds.)
God’s Power Over All Sickness:
- Luke 8:43-48 – (The woman with the issue of blood was healed by touching Jesus’ garment.) (Faith in Jesus brings miraculous healing.)
- Acts 10:38 – “God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” (Healing is part of God’s divine mission through Jesus.)
Trusting God for Healing:
- Proverbs 4:20-22 – “My son, give attention to my words; incline your ear to my sayings… For they are life to those who find them, and health to all their flesh.” (God’s Word itself has healing power.)
- Philippians 4:6-7 – “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.” (Trust in God brings peace and healing.)
God’s healing is available to all who trust in Him. Whether through faith, prayer, or the power of His Word, His desire is to bring restoration and wholeness to His people. Hold on to His promises, walk in faith, and experience the supernatural healing power of God.
Prayer:
- Oh Lord, I believe in Your healing power; heal me now from every form of sickness and disease in the name of Jesus Christ.
- In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, I am healed from every longstanding sickness.
- Every seed of terminal disease in my body system, let the hand of God remove it from the root now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Whatever my Heavenly Father has not planted in my body is uprooted now in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Whatever I have eaten or drunk in a dream, inhaled through the air, stepped upon, or sat upon, that poses a threat to my health and wellness, is quenched by the fire of the Holy Ghost in the name of Jesus Christ.
- The Blood of Jesus Christ flushes out of my body every poisonous or deadly substance now, in the name of Jesus Christ.
- By His stripes, I am healed in the name of Jesus Christ.
- I will live in good health, with soundness in spirit, soul, and body. I will fulfill the purposes of my creation in Christ Jesus.
- Great Physician, perform spiritual surgery in my body. Correct every defect, and replace every dead, damaged, or weak organ in my body, in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Oh Lord, satisfy me with long life and prosperity in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Thank You, Lord, for answered prayers.
