You are not a failure because our God is not a failure. The creation of the heavens and the earth, and everything that is in them, testifies that our God is a great Accomplisher.

Genesis 1:1-31, “In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth.” When God created man, He bestowed upon us the ability to accomplish great things because we were made in His image and likeness. Genesis 1:27, “So God created man in His own image; in the image of God He created him; male and female He created them.” The virtue of a great Accomplisher is in every child of God. Therefore, nothing shall make you a failure in life and destiny in Jesus’ name. Whatever God has ordained you to become in your lifetime shall be accomplished in Jesus’ name. Isaiah 46:10, “Declaring the end from the beginning, And from ancient times things that are not yet done, Saying, ‘My counsel shall stand, And I will do all My pleasure.'”

EXAMPLES OF GREAT ACCOMPLISHERS IN THE SCRIPTURES

These examples strengthen our faith and assure us that God can make us successful in fulfilling our divine destinies.

  1. Abraham believed God’s promises despite his old age and many challenges. Through faith and obedience, he became the father of many nations. Romans 4:20-21, “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God, and being fully convinced that what He had promised He was also able to perform.”

  2. Joseph endured betrayal, slavery, and imprisonment, yet he never abandoned God. In due season, God elevated him to become a ruler in Egypt and a savior to many. Genesis 50:20, “But as for you, you meant evil against me; but God meant it for good, in order to bring it about as it is this day, to save many people alive.”

  3. Joshua successfully led Israel into the Promised Land because he obeyed God’s instructions and remained courageous. Joshua 1:8, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success.”

  4. Jesus Chris. Jesus fulfilled the mission for which He came into the world. He completed the work of redemption and secured eternal salvation for mankind. John 19:30, “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.”

  5. Apostle Paul. Paul faithfully completed his ministry despite persecutions, imprisonments, and hardships. He remained steadfast until the end. 2 Timothy 4:7, “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith.”

OUR RESPONSIBILITIES IF WE MUST NOT BE FAILURES

God has a purpose for every life, but we must play our part if we are to fulfill our destiny.

  1. Abide in God. A branch cannot bear fruit unless it remains connected to the vine. Likewise, we cannot succeed spiritually or fulfill our destiny apart from God. John 15:5, “I am the vine, you are the branches. He who abides in Me, and I in him, bears much fruit; for without Me you can do nothing.”

  2. Have a Clear Revelation of Your God-Ordained Purpose. You must seek to know why God created you and what assignment He has committed into your hands. Jeremiah 29:11, “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the Lord, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.”

  3. Ask God for the Grace to Accomplish It. Every divine assignment requires divine grace. What God calls you to do, His grace will empower you to accomplish. 1 Corinthians 15:10, “But by the grace of God I am what I am, and His grace toward me was not in vain; but I labored more abundantly than they all, yet not I, but the grace of God which was with me.”

  4. Pursue Your Assignment with All Your Spirit, Soul, and Body. Put your strength, energy, and commitment into the purpose God has given you. Never surrender to discouragement. You may be discouraged, but do not give up. Opposition will arise. Enemies within and without may unite against you. Challenges will come, but through Christ you shall overcome them all. Galatians 6:9, “And let us not grow weary while doing good, for in due season we shall reap if we do not lose heart.” Romans 8:37,“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us.”

  5. Pray for Victory Over the Weaknesses of the Flesh and the Attacks of the Enemy. Many people who started well failed because they did not overcome certain weaknesses. Samson’s downfall came through his love for strange women. Judges 16:17, “That he told her all his heart, and said to her, ‘No razor has ever come upon my head…'” Moses was unable to enter the Promised Land because of anger and disobedience. Numbers 20:12,“Then the Lord spoke to Moses and Aaron, ‘Because you did not believe Me, to hallow Me in the eyes of the children of Israel, therefore you shall not bring this assembly into the land which I have given them.'” Therefore, pray continually for victory over the flesh and every strategy of the enemy. Galatians 5:16, “I say then: Walk in the Spirit, and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”

  6. Remain Faithful to the End. Do not serve God only when things are favorable. Remain faithful whether in abundance or scarcity, in victory or adversity. Even if the fig tree does not blossom, continue to trust the Lord. Habakkuk 3:17-18,“Though the fig tree may not blossom, Nor fruit be on the vines; Though the labor of the olive may fail, And the fields yield no food; Though the flock may be cut off from the fold, And there be no herd in the stalls— Yet I will rejoice in the Lord, I will joy in the God of my salvation.” Matthew 24:13, “But he who endures to the end shall be saved.”

Beloved, you are not a failure because your God is not a failure. He created you in His image and has ordained you for success and accomplishment. If you abide in Him, discover your purpose, depend on His grace, persevere through challenges, overcome the weaknesses of the flesh, and remain faithful to the end, you shall fulfill your God-given destiny. Philippians 1:6, “Being confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ.”

Prayer

  1. Father, let every purpose You ordained for my life be fulfilled in the name of Jesus Christ.

  2. Father, grant me grace to abide in You, strength to overcome every obstacle, victory over the flesh, and faithfulness to the end.

  3. Father, I decree that I shall not fail in life, ministry, family, career, or destiny.

  4. Oh Lord, every organized plan from the kingdom of darkness to make me fail is aborted now in the name of Jesus Christ.

  5. Father, every good work You have started in me shall be accomplished, and Your name shall be glorified through my life, in Jesus’ mighty name. Amen.
