Our calling is a calling to the manifestation of His marvelous light. 1Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light:”
He brought out of darkness into His marvelous light, to manifest His glory. He brought us out of eternal damnation to eternity in Christ Jesus. Inasmuch we are still in this world and we have not return back to Him, He wants us to keep shinning for Him. He does not want the light to be quenched by things of the world. He wants us to shine for Him and also to draw men to His sheepfold. If you don’t shine, there is no way you can attract others. If you are in gross darkness and you refuse to shine forth, there is no way people will see your light. Matthew 5:16, “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”
What makes your light shining is the capacity of God’s fire you have in you. That is why you cannot afford to make the fire go down. That is why you must rekindle the fire in you every day. Many forces, manifesting in various ways are contending with your light, they want to kill the fire so that your light can go into obscurity. That will not be your portion in Jesus’ name.
Self is the first target of the devil. Oftentimes, Satan uses self to get us. Romans 7:17-25, “17Now then it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 18For I know that in me (that is, in my flesh,) dwelleth no good thing: for to will is present with me; but how to perform that which is good I find not. 19For the good that I would I do not: but the evil which I would not, that I do. 20Now if I do that I would not, it is no more I that do it, but sin that dwelleth in me. 21I find then a law, that, when I would do good, evil is present with me. 22For I delight in the law of God after the inward man: 23But I see another law in my members, warring against the law of my mind, and bringing me into captivity to the law of sin which is in my members. 24O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death? 25I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin. That is why we need daily consecration so that we will not entangle with the things that will bring us into eternal condemnation. We need our daily fellowship with Him, through which He will help us to have victory over flesh. You cannot wage war against flesh if your daily communion with God is lukewarm or cold. That is where your victory over the work of flesh starts.
As we pray today, surrender all to Him, He will set us on fire in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Father, we thank You for our salvation. Thank You for the supreme price paid by Jesus Christ on Cross at Calvary. Revelation 1:6, “And hath made us kings and priests unto God and his Father; to him be glory and dominion for ever and ever. Amen.” Revelation 5:10, “And hast made us unto our God kings and priests: and we shall reign on the earth.”
- Oh Lord, we thank You for rescuing us from eternal condemnation, from darkness to marvelous light in Christ Jesus.
- Oh Lord, we thank You for helping us to shine forth in the abundance of Your light in Christ Jesus.
- Father, renew my altar of prayer, cleanse me, purify me, make me holy and acceptable unto every day of my life in Jesus’ name.
- Oh Lord, set my heart on fire for you daily. Reignite the fire in my heart every moment. Do not allow the fire to be quenched in Jesus’ name.
- Whatever manifest as the fruits of flesh in my life, be consumed by the flame of fire now in the name of Jesus Christ. Galatians 5:17-21, “ 17For the flesh lusteth against the Spirit, and the Spirit against the flesh: and these are contrary the one to the other: so that ye cannot do the things that ye would. 18But if ye be led of the Spirit, ye are not under the law. 19Now the works of the flesh are manifest, which are these; Adultery, fornication, uncleanness, lasciviousness, 20Idolatry, witchcraft, hatred, variance, emulations, wrath, strife, seditions, heresies, 21Envyings, murders, drunkenness, revellings, and such like: of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God.”
- Pray against manifestations of flesh in the body of Christ.
- Oh Lord, reignite the fire of our altars of prayer.
- Oh Lord, help me to put my life in order. Remove every distraction from my part in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Every opposition against my relationship with You, be consumed by Holy Fire.
- Every concluded plan from the pit of hell, targeting me, to make me fall into the traps of sin, be consumed by Holy Fire. I escape all traps of sin. I will not fall, I will not falter in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Prayer for all pastors, workers, deacons and deaconesses in the church of God across the world.
- Oh Lord, let everyone of us abide in You forever in the name of Jesus Christ.
- Thank Him for answered prayers.
